Starting July 29, Disneyland Paris welcomes guests to Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia, a vibrant new dining experience inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco. Located in Frontierland, this restaurant blends heartfelt storytelling with authentic Mexican artistry, honoring Miguel’s heritage and his family’s craft.
1. A Statue of Miguel to Welcome You
Before you even step inside, you’re greeted by a life-size bronze statue of Miguel dressed in traditional mariachi charro. Set on the terrace, this tribute captures the heart of the film and even plays memorable music like Remember Me, immersing guests in the spirit of Coco
2. Papel Picados and Folklore Overhead
As you enter the patio, look up to see nearly 200 papel picados fluttering overhead. Inspired by the movie’s opening scene, these colorful cut-outs were handcrafted by Imagineers, showcasing motifs rooted in Mexican music, floral design, and culture.
3. Alebrijes Come to Life
No tribute to Coco would be complete without an alebrije! You’ll spot a massive carved and vividly painted alebrije reminiscent of Dante, Miguel’s spirit guide, near the ordering counter. This adds an unmistakably magical element to the restaurant’s decor.
4. Héctor’s Guitar and Musical Memories
Inside La Sala de Música, Héctor’s iconic guitar sits among a stunning display of instruments and personal mementos. Pixar shared original movie references with Imagineers to ensure an authentic recreation. Look for pages from Héctor’s diary and other meaningful family relics.
5. A Tribute to the Rivera Shoemakers
On the other side in La Sala de Familia, portraits and shoemaking tools honor the Rivera family’s history. Every detail from woven fabrics to custom shoeboxes celebrates the legacy passed down from Mamá Imelda and her ancestors.
Whether you’re enjoying the food or admiring the immersive setting, Casa de Coco Disneyland Paris is a must-visit destination for Pixar fans. Let the memories, music, and flavors of Coco guide your next Disney adventure!
