Epcot Holidays Around the World – A Norwegian Tale. Epcot Holidays Around the World is an annual holiday celebration and Epcot’s 3rd annual “festival” – not only around World Showcase but all of Epcot.
Similar to the Flower and Garden and Food and Wine Festivals, grab your “Holiday Passport” and start enjoying all of the unique destinations and entertainment offerings.
Of course, the always popular Candlelight Processional is the centerpiece of the evening entertainment, but there is so much more. The Guide Book is your map to everything that’s happening. A great addition to the Guide Book for 2016 are photo references of treats available around the World Showcase in the holiday kiosks. In addition, the Guide Book showcases the “entertainment”. From the Chinese Lion Dancers, Helga in Germany, La Befana in Italy, Pier Noel in France, the Daruma Vendor in Japan, or Father Christmas in the United Kingdom, they all capture the essence of how the holidays are celebrated in each country. For 2016, my favorite? Not only because of the brand new location in front of the recently opened “Frozen Ever After” in Norway is Sigrid and Julenissen. Our storyteller is surprised by a mischievous Christmas gnome as she attempts to tell the tale of a Norwegian Christmas. The comedic value keeps the kids entertained and adults alike.
