A New Look for a Classic Resort
In 2019, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort entered a new era. The opening of Gran Destino Tower marked the resort’s most significant expansion. As part of the rededication ceremony, Disney hosted a media event celebrating this major transformation.

The tower introduces a bold, modern design inspired by Spanish architecture and Disney’s animated short film Destino. The story was a collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí.
Inside the Tower with Disney Leaders
We joined the celebration and spoke with leaders involved in the project. In our interview, they shared how Gran Destino Tower elevates the guest experience. From the dramatic two-story lobby to Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, the rooftop restaurant, the space feels both elegant and innovative.

This expansion adds nearly 600 rooms, including 50 suites and new club-level offerings. Guests now enjoy stunning views, sleek interiors, and upgraded amenities in a moderate resort setting.
A Resort Designed for Every Guest
The tower connects directly to the original Coronado Springs buildings, enhancing the resort’s appeal for families and convention guests. With updated meeting spaces, restaurants, and transportation options, Gran Destino Tower seamlessly blends leisure and business travel.
It’s not just a hotel—it’s a story. The entire space reflects Disney’s dedication to immersive design. From murals to lighting fixtures, each detail celebrates art and imagination.
