Walt Disney World’s Stunning Easter Egg Display

Spring has arrived at Walt Disney World, and the Easter egg display tradition at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has made its triumphant return, much to the delight of guests and cast!

For over two decades, the culinary cast has been creating these chocolate egg-shaped masterpieces, which display their creative talents and meticulous attention to detail with each and every egg-cellent creation.

“My family is originally from Columbia and this Easter egg was something very special for me to create in honor of them, especially my nanny,” Yadira Camacho, pastry cook, said. “And being able to share this amazing story through chocolate with our guests was something I’ll never forget.”

From beloved Disney characters and movies to attractions and more, Disney cast created sketches, gathered materials, and helped each other plan for weeks before the display was unveiled. Each cast member developed their own ways of deliciously depicting some of our favorite Disney stories.

“I chose ‘Luca’ as the theme of my egg because I felt very connected to the story,” Juan Jimenez Abreu, chef assistant, said. “I’m an immigrant and came here from Venezuela five years ago. These characters were exploring a new community and discovering themselves and I really related to that; I wanted our guests to see my egg and feel the emotion I felt when watching the characters grow throughout the movie.”

In addition to being very personal to our cast, these eggs display their skills with special hand-crafted techniques like chocolate sculpting, cocoa butter painting and intricate edible decorating. Where else but Disney do you get to show off your talents and create such stunning edible artwork that delivers magical experiences to our guests visiting from around the world?

By far the largest egg this year is the Cinderella royal stagecoach. Our cast created this egg in honor of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration and the magnificent EARidescent transformation of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park.

“Cinderella is a childhood favorite of mine,” Fabiola Vidal, Chef Assistant, said. “For this egg, I took inspiration from several of Cinderella’s stagecoaches across property to create this large-scale chocolate version
