The Disney Gallery Presents: Disney 100 Years of Wonder at Disneyland

Step into the magical world of Disneyland and explore the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Gallery, a special exhibit celebrating a century of Disney’s storytelling and innovation. Located inside the Main Street Opera House, this limited-time display offers an immersive journey through Disney’s creative history.

A Century of Disney Magic

This exhibit showcases 135 art pieces featuring original concept sketches, attraction designs, and never-before-seen Imagineering blueprints. Each piece highlights how Disney films inspired theme park attractions and how those attractions, in turn, became an integral part of Disney’s storytelling legacy.

Bridging Films and Theme Parks

The exhibit explores how beloved Disney films shaped Disneyland attractions. For example, Sleeping Beauty Castle was inspired by the 1959 animated classic and debuted in the park before the film’s release. Similarly, the Matterhorn Bobsleds took inspiration from Third Man on the Mountain (1959), while Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage reimagined the original attraction using themes from Finding Nemo (2003).

Walt Disney’s Vision

Curated by Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine, the gallery offers insight into Walt Disney’s dream.  His dram of making his films come to life in a theme park setting. By showcasing Disney Animation and Imagineering artwork.  Visitors gain a deeper appreciation for the collaborative efforts that bring Disney stories into the real world.
