Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure transforms Cars Land into Radiator Screams from September 1 to October 31, 2023. Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the “car-acters” celebrate Haul-O-Ween with spooky decorations and fun “car-stumes.” Here are fun facts you don’t want to miss!
Scary the Scare-car
Guests are greeted by Scary the Scare-car at the entrance to Radiator Screams. Hear Scary’s origin story while riding Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. The tractors spin to Halloween versions of songs like “Monster Truck Smash” and “Purple Fender Bender.”
During Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Sept. 1–Oct. 31, 2023, the citizens of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park celebrate Halloween by turning Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams. The entire land is transformed with a special Haul-O-Ween makeover as the townsfolk of Radiator Springs don Halloween “car-stumes” and decorate their respective homes for the season. Seasonal Pump-kins and Spider-car
At Sarge’s garden, discover seasonal pump-kins growing on vines, destined for Fillmore’s organic fuel. Look for 30 hidden “car-achnids” around Radiator Screams, including a giant Spider-car made from a Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride vehicle outside Flo’s V8 Café.

Car-stumes and Cozy Cone Motel
The residents wear creative car-stumes: Mater is a “van-pire,” Lightning McQueen is a superhero, Cruz Ramirez is a pirate, and Red the Fire Truck is a clown. Inside the Cozy Cone Motel lobby, Sally displays a miniature candy model of the motel.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort returns with frightfully fun experiences for guests of all ages. Guests visiting Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park will find that Radiator Springs transformed to Radiator Screams, decorated with frights and delights for a unique Haul-O-Ween makeover. Día de los Muertos Celebration
Visit Ramone’s House of Body Art for a Día de los Muertos display honoring Doc Hudson with painted hoods, marigolds, and a sugar car named Sugar.
