Haunted Mansion Expands in 2024
Disneyland’s New Orleans Square is getting exciting updates for 2024, and the Haunted Mansion is at the center of it all. A new outdoor queue will immerse guests in expanded lore tied to the mysterious sea captain, Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and even the one-eyed cat. Expect themed gardens, statuary, and a greenhouse where groundskeepers tend to supernatural plants.
In addition, a brand-new retail shop will appear next to the attraction. This shop, set in Madame Leota’s carriage house, promises to extend her mystical presence beyond the Haunted Mansion’s walls.
Tiana’s Palace Opens Soon
Tiana’s Palace, inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, opens its doors on September 7 in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square. Fun fact: the film’s animators based Tiana’s restaurant design on Disneyland’s French Market Restaurant. Now, Imagineers have brought that vision full circle by transforming the real-life space with smokestacks and a wheelhouse to match the movie.
Guests will enjoy authentic New Orleans flavors in a quick-service setting that blends film inspiration with Disneyland charm.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Brings New Thrills
Fans also look forward to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, set to open in 2024. The attraction will feature beloved characters like Mama Odie, Louis, Eudora, Charlotte, and Prince Ralphie. Musicians PJ Morton and Terrance Blanchard collaborate on the soundtrack, adding fresh energy to the story.
With these updates, Disneyland’s New Orleans Square continues to evolve while staying true to its rich storytelling roots. Whether craving spooky fun or a delicious meal, 2024 promises new reasons to visit.
