Experience the Vibrant New TRATOS Mural at Disney Springs
Feel the Cuban vibes at Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression with the debut of a stunning mural by Cuban-American artists Katerina Santos and Juan Travieso, known together as TRATOS. Their collaborative piece, “El Nido” (The Nest), is a vibrant tribute to their son and a joyful celebration of Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month at Walt Disney World.

The Story Behind “El Nido”
Katerina and Juan combined their creative talents and last names to form TRATOS, meaning “forming a bond” in Spanish. This mural reflects their deep connection as a family and as artists. “We want people to feel the happiness and joy that Luka brings into our life,” Katerina shared, describing how their son inspired the bright colors and uplifting imagery.
The mural depicts birds and flowers surrounding Luka, symbolizing family and loved ones supporting him. According to Juan, this representation creates a warm, heartfelt narrative about love and community.

A Celebration of Culture and Creativity
Their work joins other incredible artists at Disney Springs Art Walk, including Ernesto Maranje, whose mural “The Path to Everywhere” evokes childhood memories and the magic of Disney through natural imagery.

Disney Springs Art Walk serves as a platform for diverse artists to showcase their stories and talents. Keep following Disney Springs and #DSArtWalk on social media for updates as more artists join this vibrant showcase.
