Fun Fact for Tiki Fans

The first Halloween tiki mug—a zombie head with green interior glaze—was based on Disney Legend Blaine Gibson’s original sculpt of the Hatbox Ghost. Disney’s blending of tiki culture and attraction lore continues to haunt fans in the best way possible.

Celebrate the Haunted Mansion Legacy

The Haunted Mansion first opened its doors in New Orleans Square on August 9, 1969. Over the decades, its cast of 999 happy haunts has become a staple of Disney Parks lore. This year, the Hatbox Ghost is not only back in the parks but also takes center stage in Disney’s Haunted Mansion film, now playing in theaters.
