The 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival brought an unforgettable lineup of talent to the Garden Rocks Concert Series, including the legendary Commodores. Known for hits like “Brick House,” “Easy,” and “Nightshift,” the Commodores lit up the America Gardens Theatre stage. But what made this performance truly remarkable was the special appearance by original member Walter “Clyde” Orange.
Walter “Clyde” Orange: The Soul of the Commodores
Walter “Clyde” Orange is more than just a member of the Commodores—he’s an essential part of the group’s soul and history. As the drummer and one of the lead vocalists, Clyde co-wrote many of the band’s iconic tracks and delivered unforgettable performances on hits like “Brick House.” His appearance at the 2022 Garden Rocks Concert was a rare treat for fans, making this performance especially memorable.

An Unexpected Surprise
While the concert may have featured some spontaneous camera work (I wasn’t planning to share initially), I couldn’t resist capturing the magic once Clyde took the stage. There’s something special about seeing a legend return to his roots and join his bandmates for a heartfelt performance. The energy was palpable, and the audience loved every second.
A Night of Nostalgia and Hits
The Commodores treated the EPCOT audience to their timeless hits, blending R&B, soul, and funk in a way only they can. With Walter Clyde Orange joining the set, the night became a celebration of the band’s rich legacy.
