A Double Dose of Disney Magic
What’s better than the Disneyland Band or the Dapper Dans? How about both at the same time? Yes, it’s real—and it happens every day at Disneyland!
If you’re in the park, be sure to check your Times Guide. One of the best-kept entertainment secrets is the 12:30 p.m. performance, when both groups appear in sync for a musical march filled with Disney magic.
The Disneyland Band begins in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, marching through the castle to form a performance line. The moment they start playing a medley of Disney classics, you’ll be smiling. One favorite? “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” delivered in that only-the-Disneyland-Band-can way.
Marching Down Main Street
The magic doesn’t stop there. Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Minnie join in for what can only be described as the Most Magical March on Earth, moving from the castle down Main Street, U.S.A.
Halfway down Main Street, something even more special happens. The Dapper Dans, already mid-performance near the Emporium, see the procession. And rather than watch from the sidelines, they join the march.
Together, the Disneyland Band and Dapper Dans lead a joyful procession to Town Square, where they’re met by Mickey and friends for a full performance on the Main Street Train Station steps.
It’s a beautiful mix of marching music, barbershop harmony, and Disney character charm. If you’ve never seen it, add this to your must-do list on your next Disneyland trip.
