The Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland takes passengers on a scenic, 12-minute journey around the Rivers of America. Originally named the Mark Twain Steamboat when Disneyland opened in 1955, the original has been replicated at Disney parks, including Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris.
The Mark Twain is an authentic reproduction of the historic vessels that ferried people up and down the mighty Mississippi River. A working steam engine converts the water from the Rivers of America into steam that, in turn, powers the large paddle that propels the boat.
