Celebrating the 2022 Holiday Season at Walt Disney World
The 2022 holiday season has officially arrived at Walt Disney World Resort. From festive decorations to returning fan-favorite events, there are more ways than ever to celebrate the season.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Returns
This separately ticketed event runs on select nights from November 8 through December 22. Guests can enjoy a host of entertainment, including Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. The event features Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, attraction overlays like the Jingle Cruise, and complimentary cookies and cocoa throughout the park.
New this year are Disney PhotoPass holiday opportunities and a 50th Anniversary keepsake. A variety of seasonal treats are also available, such as sweet potato pie and Mickey-shaped cinnamon rolls. Tickets for this event range from $149 to $199.
EPCOT Festival of the Holidays
From November 25 to December 30, EPCOT hosts its annual celebration featuring international holiday traditions. Highlights include the Candlelight Processional with celebrity narrators and a 50-piece orchestra. Guests can enjoy festive foods, global storytellers, and the Holiday Cookie Stroll.
New food items include a plant-based chorizo tamale and returning favorites like the maple bûche de Noël.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll
Elaborately decorated trees line Disney Springs as part of this seasonal tradition. A scavenger hunt adds interactive fun, and snow flurries in Town Center create a winter atmosphere. Guests can find Santa at Once Upon a Toy and enjoy seasonal offerings at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar.
Resort and Park Holiday Décor
Holiday magic touches every corner of Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom features Main Street U.S.A. decorations. Hollywood Studios lights up Sunset Boulevard and Toy Story Land. Animal Kingdom brings the Merry Menagerie to Discovery Island. EPCOT’s World Showcase celebrates with cultural décor.
Seasonal Entertainment
Across all four parks, entertainment includes holiday projection shows, themed parades, and musical celebrations. Animal Kingdom lights the Tree of Life nightly, while Hollywood Studios hosts Sunset Seasons Greetings and a Frozen sing-along. Magic Kingdom transforms Cinderella Castle with rotating projections.
