It’s official—Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back on the beat, and the world of Zootopia just got a lot wilder. Disney Animation dropped the Zootopia 2 teaser trailer today. The long-awaited sequel to the 2016 Academy Award®-winning film races into theaters on November 26, 2025.

A Great Mystery Unfolds
Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) return to the big screen in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2. When a snake named Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan) slithers into town, he kicks off a new mystery—one only Judy and Nick can solve.
The film is once again in the hands of the Oscar-winning team behind the original: Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and producer Yvett Merino.
Back on the Case
The teaser reunites our favorite ZPD duo—now seasoned partners. But their latest mission is anything but routine. As Gary De’Snake arrives, the case pulls them into uncharted areas of Zootopia, from marshlands and deserts to undiscovered districts.
Director and screenwriter Jared Bush teased the journey ahead, calling it “a wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before.” That means new environments, new animal species, and plenty of mystery along the way.
Meet the Lemeeens
One of the biggest surprises? The debut of a techno anthem titled “ZUTU” from the lemming EDM band LEMEEENS. After touring with Gazelle, the band—featuring Hans-Peter, Gūnther, Spielt, and DJ Spaß—is back with an infectious beat that powers the trailer’s action.
And yes, Shakira returns as Gazelle. New voice cast members include Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson, adding more energy and talent to this highly anticipated sequel.

What We Love So Far
The teaser doesn’t reveal much about the plot but hints at a deeper story. With sweeping shots of desert dunes and undersea adventures. Along with a tone that mixes comedy with high-stakes sleuthing. Zootopia 2 looks to deliver on everything we loved about the original. While expanding the world in big, bold ways.
This is one sequel we’re more than ready for—and we’ll be following every update as we count down to November.
