The 1999 Walt Disney World Easter Parade aired on ABC on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1999. This was the 15th and final live broadcast of the Walt Disney World Happy Easter Parade. After this, no Disney Easter parade aired on ABC or any other network.
Caroline Rhea and D.L. Hughley hosted the final broadcast, blending parade moments with musical performances and behind-the-scenes looks at Walt Disney World’s newest attractions.

Musical guests dominated the 1999 Easter Parade, with 98 Degrees performing from EPCOT, Britney Spears at Disney-MGM Studios, and Collin Raye at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As part of their EPCOT segment, 98 Degrees gave viewers a sneak peek at Test Track, the park’s newest high-speed thrill ride.

At Disney-MGM Studios, Britney Spears showcased Fantasmic!, the park’s newest nighttime spectacular featuring lasers, fireworks, and live-action sequences. She also highlighted Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which was set to open in the summer of 1999—although the special made no mention of Aerosmith yet.

Over at Magic Kingdom, D.L. Hughley took viewers behind construction walls for a first look at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, opening later that summer. The hosts also announced the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade to Magic Kingdom, marking the parade’s grand return from Disneyland.

The broadcast concluded with a world-record attempt of “The Bunny Hop.” 1999 also marked the ending of the 15-year run of the Walt Disney World Happy Easter Parade on television.
