Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald kick off the opening musical number for the “Emmy Award-Winning” Walt Disney World Christmas Parade. Featuring two parades from the Magic Kingdom in Florida, it’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade and from Disneyland, it’s the new Lion King Celebration. Hosts are Joan Lunden and Regis Philbin from Disneyland and Home Improvement’s Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Special guests include Olympic Silver Medalist Nancy Kerrigan and All American Girl Margaret Cho. At Disney MGM Studios, Margaret checks out the new Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and we get a sneak preview of the latest Disney animated feature, Pocahontas. The stars come out for the grand opening of Walt Disney World’s Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. At the Magic Kingdom, we come face to face with The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter while Regis discovers a whole new Tomorrowland. Over at EPCOT, we get a look at EPCOT95’s latest attraction, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and witness the largest gathering of tuba players ever, with over 650 tubas in front of Cinderella Castle. In California, Disneyland is celebrating its 40th Anniversary, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas takes us on the newest attraction, the Indiana Jones Adventure.
