National Geographic’s Earth Month Sweepstakes Could Send You to Alaska or the Galápagos

National Geographic is giving fans a big reason to pay attention this Earth Month. As part of Disney’s 2026 Step Into Wonder campaign, Nat Geo has launched its third annual Earth Month sweepstakes.  The grand prize is the kind of trip most of us only dream about.

Two Bucket-List National Geographic Expeditions

One winner and up to three guests will get to choose between two National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions adventures.  The first is an eight-day cruise to Alaska. The second is a ten-day cruise to the Galápagos Islands.  Both options include round-trip coach airfare, transfers, scheduled meals, and the activities listed on the itinerary.  That makes this more than a simple giveaway. It is a chance to experience some of the most extraordinary places on Earth through expert-led exploration.

How the Earth Month Sweepstakes Works

Guests can enter daily from April 13 through April 30, 2026.  If you love wildlife, conservation, or unforgettable travel, this is one worth putting on your radar. The sweepstakes is part of Disney and National Geographic’s broader Step Into Wonder campaign for Earth Month. That bigger campaign is designed to help fans connect with the natural world through storytelling, streaming content, and interactive experiences.

The Earth Month Collection on Disney+

That is where this story becomes even more interesting for Disney fans. The giveaway is only one piece of a larger Earth Month lineup.  The National Geographic Earth Month Collection on Disney+ features titles like Ocean with David Attenborough, Cheetahs Up Close with Bertie Gregory, and A Real Bug’s Life 2.

A Real Bug's Life Episode 103 - "Braving the Backyard" It’s spring in a Texan backyard, and a new family is moving in. As they put their stamp on the place, a baby Texas unicorn mantis struggles to come of age in her brand-new world, a colony of invasive fire ants have their survival skills pushed to the limit, and a jet-setting monarch butterfly searches for a lifeline on her mammoth migration north. This is the story of bugs surviving and thriving in one of the most unpredictable places on Earth.

It also includes two major Earth Month releases. Secrets of the Bees is now streaming on Disney+. Orangutan arrives on April 22.

A Timely Spotlight on Secrets of the Bees

Secrets of the Bees feels like a natural fit for this campaign. It keeps the focus on pollinators, ecosystems, and the small wonders that shape the world around us. For viewers who want something new to watch during Earth Month, it is an easy place to start.

Meanwhile, Orangutan gives Disney+ another timely nature title right around Earth Day.  Together, the sweepstakes and streaming collection turn Earth Month into something more active than a themed content row.

Why the Step Into Wonder Campaign Stands Out

There is a bigger reason this campaign works. National Geographic is often at its best when it turns exploration into storytelling.  That same idea runs through this promotion. Whether it is Alaska’s glaciers, the Galápagos’ wildlife, or a new Disney+ documentary about bees, the goal is the same.  Get people curious about the planet. Then give them a reason to care.

Sam’s Disney Diary Take

This is the kind of Earth Month promotion that makes sense for Disney and National Geographic. It is aspirational, but it is also approachable. Not everyone will win the trip, of course. Still, everyone can stream the Earth Month collection on Disney+ and take part in the bigger Step Into Wonder campaign. For Disney fans, the easy hook is the giveaway. For Disney+ subscribers, the real value may be the Earth Month lineup that gives you something new to watch right now. Either way, this is one of those timely April stories that blends travel, conservation, and streaming into one clean package.

If you have not entered yet, the sweepstakes is open now through April 30, 2026.

And if you are looking for a place to start on Disney+, Secrets of the Bees feels like the most natural companion piece to the whole campaign.
