Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure brings some not-so-spooky fun to Hollywood Land with Mickey’s Trick and Treat 2026, an interactive Halloween celebration designed especially for Disney’s youngest fans.

Inside the Disney Theater, the same stage that’s home to Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, Mickey Mouse and his friends invite everyone to a Halloween costume party filled with music, dancing, colorful costumes, and plenty of silly surprises.
But there’s more to this show than meets the eye! From a hidden Fantasia reference to a clever Hollywood joke, there are a few Disney details you might miss on your first viewing.
A Mickey Mouse Halloween Show Made for Little Ones
Mickey and Minnie are ready to celebrate, but things get a little silly when Donald, Goofy, and their friend Parker join the fun.
Parker’s mad scientist experiment adds some unexpected Halloween mischief, complete with bats, spiders, ghosts, and a few surprises along the way.

With original songs, colorful projections, bubbles, and plenty of audience participation, the show creates a playful Halloween experience without anything too frightening.
For families with toddlers and preschoolers, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween at Disneyland Resort. Familiar characters, catchy music, and plenty of laughter make it especially appealing to the Disney Junior audience.
Five Things to Watch for in Mickey’s Trick and Treat
- A Hidden Fantasia Easter Egg: When the story moves to a spooky castle, look closely at the mountain in the background. You might spot a familiar silhouette: Chernabog from Disney’s 1940 animated classic Fantasia! It’s a clever reference tucked into a show designed for Disney’s youngest guests.

Look closely at the mountain behind the spooky castle in Mickey’s Trick and Treat. Can you spot the familiar silhouette from Disney’s Fantasia? - Minnie Knows When Things Get Too Scary: When Mickey’s spooky story becomes a little too frightening, Minnie helps lighten the mood with butterflies. It’s a fun reminder that Halloween doesn’t have to be scary to be entertaining!
- Goofy’s Hollywood Inside Joke: Goofy arrives dressed as a mummy, but listen carefully to his dialogue. He makes a joke about being his own “wrap party” because they’re in Hollywood! It’s one of those little touches that parents might appreciate as much as their children.
- Two Original Halloween Songs: Disney created two original Halloween songs for the show. Watch the colorful video projections behind the performers, where animated graphics and lyrics help turn the theater into a giant singalong. And there’s certainly plenty of excitement about candy!
- Those Ghosts Look Familiar!: When ghosts appear during Parker’s spooky adventure, pay attention to who’s hiding underneath those sheets. Let’s just say there’s more trick than treat happening on stage!

From Oogie Boogie Bash to Disneyland Halloween 2026
Here’s another detail you might not know: Mickey’s Trick and Treat isn’t new for 2026!

The show originally debuted in 2019 during Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney California Adventure’s separately ticketed Halloween party.
In 2022, it expanded into regular daytime park entertainment, allowing families to experience the Halloween fun without purchasing a separate party ticket. For 2026, Mickey’s Trick and Treat returns to the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land, temporarily taking over the home of Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
It’s a perfect fit for the theater and its youngest audience, bringing a little extra Halloween magic to an already family-friendly corner of Disney California Adventure.
