One of the best things about EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series is that you never know exactly what you are going to hear.
STARSHIP featuring Mickey Thomas returned to the America Gardens Theatre during the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, bringing decades of rock history with them. The classics are always part of the show, but Mickey and the band mix up portions of the set throughout the day. Songs like “Sara” may appear in one performance and not the next.
That makes each set a little different. For this performance, Mickey reaches all the way back to his days with the Elvin Bishop Band, through Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship classics, and into the Starship hits that defined the 1980s.
Decades of Rock in One EPCOT Set
Mickey Thomas first gained national attention singing “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with the Elvin Bishop Band before joining Jefferson Starship in 1979.
His voice later became a defining part of Starship, including hits such as “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and “We Built This City.”
This EPCOT set covers a lot of that history in about 30 minutes, including “White Rabbit,” “Count on Me,” “Somebody to Love,” and “Jane.”

This is exactly why catching more than one Eat to the Beat performance can be worth it.
You know STARSHIP will deliver the hits, but the setlist is not locked in stone. This performance leaned heavily into the broader Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, and Mickey Thomas catalog, while other sets during the run included different songs.
So this full set is one snapshot of STARSHIP featuring Mickey Thomas at EPCOT — and a pretty good trip through several decades of rock along the way.
