Diller’s Haunted Mansion originally aired as “Spooks and Magic” as the fourth episode of The Mouse Factory on February 16, 1972. Welcome to Diller’s Midnight Manor; our Ghost Host, Phillis Diller, welcomes us to the manor, a retirement home for worn-out witches, ghosts, and goblins. Where every night is Halloween, and it doesn’t take long for a Disney Fan to notice that the “Midnight Mansion” is Disney’s Haunted Mansion, just a few years old in 1972. The television special includes a tour of the Mansion, clips from Mickey shorts, and a visit from the Big Bad Wolf, Hunchback, Dracula, and Frankenstein.
