June is packed on Disney+.
The month brings a major Avatar premiere, new Disney Parks storytelling, live music, Banana Ball, Disney+ Streams, and exclusive Simpsons episodes. It also shows how much Disney+ has changed. The service is no longer just a movie library. Instead, it is becoming a live-event hub, a sports window, a nostalgia machine, and a home for Disney Parks fans.
Here are the biggest Disney+ June 2026 highlights, followed by the full schedule.
Disney+ June 2026 Highlights
The biggest headline is Avatar: Fire and Ash, which premieres June 24 on Disney+. The third Avatar film brings viewers back to Pandora with Jake Sully, his family, the Wind Traders, and the Ash People.
That same day, Behind the Attraction returns for Season 3. This time, the Disney Parks series heads to the high seas with Disney Cruise Line. For Disney Cruise Line fans, that may be the most interesting release of the month. The two-episode special covers the fleet, island destinations, Disney storytelling at sea, and the making of the Disney Destiny.
June also brings live music in a bigger way. Bonnaroo streams live from June 11 through June 14. Plus, Disney+ and Hulu are expanding that live festival push beyond Bonnaroo, with Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits also joining the platforms this year.
There is more live programming too. Banana Ball games arrive throughout the month across Disney+, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN+, and ABC. That gives Disney+ subscribers another reason to check the service live, not just when a new series drops.
The Simpsons Gets a Disney+ Exclusive Episode
Disney+ is also adding new exclusive episodes of The Simpsons this summer.
The first arrives June 17 with Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition. The double-episode follows Homer and Marge after a date night goes wrong. Marge learns that Homer left the kids unsupervised with only the doorbell camera as a babysitter. The episode guest stars Betty Gilpin, with musical guests Laufey and Tegan and Sara. Two more exclusive Simpsons episodes follow later in the summer. Simpsley premieres July 3, while Yellow Mirror arrives August 26.
Bonnaroo Brings Live Music to Disney+ and Hulu
Bonnaroo streams live across Disney+ and Hulu from June 11 through June 14.
The schedule begins with Day 1 on June 11 at 7:45 p.m. ET. Day 2 and Day 3 both begin at 7 p.m. ET. Day 4 starts June 14 at 5 p.m. ET.
This is part of Disney+ and Hulu’s larger push into live music. Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits are all set to stream across both platforms. The idea is simple: bring major festival moments to subscribers in real time.
For Disney+, that matters. Live events give subscribers a reason to open the app on a specific night. That is a very different habit from waiting for a movie or series.
Banana Ball Joins the Disney+ Lineup
Banana Ball also gets a busy June schedule.
The Savannah Bananas face the Firefighters on June 13. Then, games against the Clowns air June 19, June 20, and June 21. Later in the month, the Bananas face the Party Animals on June 27 and June 28.
Some games stream through ESPN+. Others air on ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC. As a result, June gives fans several ways to follow the action across Disney’s sports platforms.
Best of the World With Antoni Porowski Premieres in June
Best of the World with Antoni Porowski also arrives in June, with all episodes streaming.
The National Geographic series sends Antoni Porowski to Paris, Mexico City, London, and New York. The series goes beyond standard travel-guide stops. Instead, it looks for food, culture, people, hidden gems, and local stories that shape each city.
This one could be a good fit for viewers who like travel shows with personality. It also gives Disney+ another National Geographic title with broad appeal.
Disney+ Streams Add Pixar
Disney+ Streams continue in June.
Animated Classics is already streaming, with a rotating collection of Disney animated favorites. Then, the Pixar Stream launches June 10. It will feature a continuous lineup of Pixar films, series, and shorts.
This is another small but important shift. Instead of making viewers choose a title right away, Disney+ is building lean-back channels. That feels closer to classic television, but inside a streaming app.
Disney+ and Hulu Throwbacks Add Summer Nostalgia
Disney+ and Hulu are turning summer into a throwback moment. The Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall pops up at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles on June 6 and June 7. The experience includes a Mystery Pin Machine Photo Lab, Throwbacks Fountain, and Mac Pro Beauty Salon.
The campaign leans into Disney Channel favorites like The Cheetah Girls, High School Musical, and Camp Rock. It also includes the Throwbacks Podcast, hosted by Sherry Cola and Cierra Ramirez.
More nostalgic programming is on the way too. The Brave Little Toaster and The Weekenders Seasons 1 and 2 arrive May 25. Camp Rock 3 is listed for August, and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place gets a new season this summer.
Disney+ Perks Summer Fridays launch June 5 with themed badges and interactive quizzes. Meanwhile, the Throwbacks Stream and Throwbacks Collection keep the nostalgia going with High School Musical, Hannah Montana, The Devil Wears Prada, Ugly Betty, and more.

Sam’s Disney Diary Take
Disney+ June 2026 has one obvious headline: Avatar: Fire and Ash. However, the month is more interesting when you look at the full lineup.
Disney+ is using June to combine several ideas at once. There are blockbuster movies, Disney Cruise Line storytelling, live music, live sports, nostalgia programming, family shorts, and curated streams.
For Disney fans, June 24 is the biggest date. Avatar: Fire and Ash and Behind the Attraction Season 3 arrive together. One brings viewers back to Pandora. The other takes fans behind the magic of Disney Cruise Line and the Disney Destiny.
That is the kind of double feature Disney+ was built for.
