The headline is September 2, when Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives on Disney+. That same day also brings The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast and LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
That makes September 2 more than a single premiere. It is a full Mandalorian streaming moment. As always, titles may vary by region and are subject to change.
Star Wars Takes Over September 2
The biggest Disney+ date of the month is Wednesday, September 2.
That is when Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu begins streaming on Disney+. The film brings Din Djarin and Grogu’s big-screen adventure home, with Pedro Pascal returning as the Mandalorian and Grogu once again at the center of the story.
Disney+ Press notes that the film also stars Sigourney Weaver, with Martin Scorsese and Jeremy Allen White lending their voices. The movie will stream in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, giving subscribers the expanded aspect ratio at home.
The same day, Lucasfilm launches Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET with two episodes: “Growing Up” and “Bigger & Different.” The podcast goes behind the scenes with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Ludwig Göransson, Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and even Grogu.
Also arriving September 2 is LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian, an all-new animated special that retells all three seasons of The Mandalorian in LEGO style, with nods to The Book of Boba Fett.

Dancing with the Stars Returns Live
Dancing with the Stars returns to Disney+ in September with Season 35.
The new season begins with Night One streaming live on Disney+ on Tuesday, September 15 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Night Two on Wednesday, September 16. Hulu gets next-day availability beginning September 16.
The show continues live on Disney+ later in the month, with additional episodes listed for September 22 and September 29.
Disney+ and Hulu are also adding the Dancing with the Stars Official Podcast, which premieres September 10 and continues with new episodes during the season.
For Disney+ subscribers, this is one of the clearest signs that the service is no longer just a streaming library. It is also becoming a live entertainment platform.
Disney+ Adds More Live Events
September also brings more live-event energy to Disney+ and Hulu.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival Livestream streams across two nights, Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Sports fans also have more to watch. Disney+ and ESPN are expanding College Football Saturdays, giving U.S. Disney+ subscribers access to two ESPN or ABC college football simulcasts each week, plus College GameDay on Saturday mornings beginning September 5.
Another live event to watch is Max vs 100 on Wednesday, September 16. The Disney+, ESPN, and Red Bull event features four-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen attempting to overtake 100 drivers in a live karting challenge from Silverstone. Disney notes availability may vary by market.
That gives September a broader live-programming feel, with reality competition, music, sports, and special events all sharing space with Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and Hulu releases.
September Starts the Halloween Shift
Disney+ and Hulu also begin leaning toward spooky season before October arrives. On Thursday, September 24, Hulu launches FX’s American Horror Story: 13 with a three-episode premiere, along with the official podcast.
Disney+ follows with family-friendly Halloween options later in the month. Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! arrives Friday, September 25, and SuperKitties: Howl-O-Ween Charm arrives Tuesday, September 29.
That gives September a split personality in the best way.
